the sale of the mighty battle bus
We have here a 1999 C250 TD Esprit merc estate. RWD
What you see is what you get with this thing, it dose have a few battle scars from previous owners,
ie: scuffs an scrapes and a car park ding or few,
Its by no means the pristine looking beauty it was when it was first sold and its since turned more into the beast over the years.
inside of the car are clean, tidy, no rips or marks, and you be pleased to know that its coming from a non smoking household.
When we first got the car we had a few head aches with it, but have since found out why. common problems with these cars. oh I did have fun going head to head with merc them selfs over the build quality of the parts lol.
the 6 plastic fuel lines in the engine have been replaced along with the manifold O rings, new fuel filter, new battery and the infamous brake switch has also been replaced. (if you know anything about mercs you will know these switches like to give up for the fun of it)
Merc them selfs has had there hands on the car and shoved it through there machine to see if any faults cam up. only one did, and that has been fixed (the V belt needed changing lol)
its had the all clear from merc and the engine will out last the body.
It is due a service, but this will be done before sale.
sadly it has no history but what car dose these days?
I have tried to put as much together as possible while we have owned it so when its time for it to move on, the new owners will have piece of mind.
It dose have all the funky stuff such as limited cruise control, set the speed and away you go and, you wont go over it but you do need to keep your foot down, also has climate control, duel ~(oh la la!)~
4 spanking new tyres, (-about 1000 miles), new brakes, leccy windows all round and 3x3 safety belts in the back clean bill of health..... pppffffttttt I cant think what else! it is just what you see is what you get with this car, oh and the bonus part is, if you own a car with this badge on it, it gives you the right to be a total C**T on the road LOL
its worked for us so far and we do have a giggle when we hear people shout F***ING MERC DRIVERS!!
I think iv put everything in, but no doubt I will think of something else afterwards (always the way)
Feel free to ask any questions you may have about it. I have tried to be as honest as I can, as it is after all a April 1st car... (no really it is! first registered April 1st 1999)
Main reason behind the sale of the mighty battle bus is........ my Toy (Legnum VR4) is almost ready to come home (muhahahaha) and this will be just left sitting around doing nothing, yes I will be sad to see it go as I loves it to bits as its made my hubby eat major humble pie but 5 cars between the two of us?! nah its gotta go, also if this sells before my legnum comes home it will go with tax. but if not then tax at buyers expense as due to the new laws, I cant keep a car taxed with out insurance on it (sucks)
oh yeah, one other thing, being this is the single wiper version we have kept on top of the greasing of the motor and arm as these do like to give up. (we learnt this pricey error with our AMG) so note to the new owner, make sure you do this at least once a year as this part is not cheap to replace.
Please no time wasters/tyre kickers (its a f**king durv! who in there right mind would want to do that?!), and no I will not sell to over seas, but if you do wish to send me interesting emails about sending someone to pick it up and pay me "85,000 Ugandan dollhers", feel free, I could do with a laugh!
I'm looking for around £1100 but open to sensible offers
