been a busy little bee so not done much recently but i cleaned the block down and sprayed it matt black.........yes you can get engine paint in a spray can in matt black ;D (i finished the tin off on my bonnet )
cleaned the fuel pump up and swiped the alternator off my spare 1.1 fiesta (nearly new alternator ) went straight on no bother, fan belt looked in good nick although its a little stiff so ive re-used it.........i know i know new ones only a few pounds but its not like a cambelt so I'm not too bothered, and the one on my daily drivers done over 20k without adjustment
head gasget came in the post but the heads not been ported or polished yet so wont be going back on for a while
still not spent much on this engine at all and I'm thinking of selling up before i do start spending money on it as id much rather have something RWD still might just keep it long term project togo into the beige beast for a king sleeper.......visions of an absolutly stock beige mk1 standard ride height standard steels with a 1600...........would make for some fun down teh pod ;D
