We took this Bora in px for another car we sold a few months ago and kept it as our daily driver. It's used everyday and we've done a couple of thousand miles in it. It drives superbly well and had a replacement gearbox, flywheel etc last year at a cost of almost £1000. The body is in good overall condition, with just a few nicks, dings and minor marks and dents in keeping with it's age. The interior is spotless in keeping with the low mileage. It is taxed until Feb/March next year and MOT I think is until Jan time. (Will double check)
Comes with a load of history, old Mot's and receipts, including a mileage confirmation cert. Fitted with coilovers which I adjusted recently so no issues there, also lubricated them as well to be on the safe side. All tyres are very good and decent makes, has the usual electric windows, climate control, cd changer, remote locking etc.
These have a camchain so no issues there, it starts and runs perfectly and quietly. Temp guage sits in the middle regardless of the outside temp, it was serviced last christmas time and hasn't been used a lot since so even the coolant is still the bright pink VW stuff.
The clutch is nice and light, gears are all neat and tight, it really does drive so well. The not so goods would be the airbag light is on, usual connector issue I think as it happened when I put the seat back after my wife had driven it. (It has airbags in the seats) Also it comes up with oil sensor warning, which is a sensor on the sump, nothing wrong with the oil level etc.
The usual electric mirror switch is broken, and so are the sunshade clips. Both peanuts on ebay. I think the car used to be a show car as it has a blood red rear parcel shelf, also one or two of the side panels are this colour too. I had a deal lined up with a guy on Edition 38 for all the odd parts it needed, the switch, clips etc for £20 as he was breaking a Bora but then he never actually came back to me once it got to posting them out, so I'd not done anything since.
Price drop to £995 ono. The car is in Ipswich and my number is 07885 216466
