I bought the car off a friend around a year ago for my wife to runabout in.
At the time of purchase it had a new battery and new tyres put on, which still have plenty of tread on. The seats were a bit dirty, but other than that the interior was fine. The exterior was just as expected of a car of this year, couple of scuffs but nothing major at all. I also put it on a ramp to have a look underneath...after seeing the underneath I decided to buy the car as it was very good for the age. Copper brake lines had been fitted but there was a slight blow on the exhaust.
After I purchased the car, I sorted the blowing exhaust, bought a another interior from a local guy as it was only £10 (saved me cleaning the seats )....and sold the dirty ones on ebay.
My wife drove it trouble free for quite a while, and getting around 40mpg! Then one cold day (think it was around March-I remember it was snowing), in another city, the car wouldn't start...so rang RAC. They started it but still towed it home as the starter motor was faulty.
Since that day, the car hasn't moved! I was too busy at the time and didn't get the chance to sort the starter motor (wasn't too fussed really as my wife was pregnant at the time and was driving less and less). Then the MOT ran out and its sat in the same place on my drive for about 6months. Has its fair share of spiderwebs etc, but otherwise the bodywork is good considering the age.
I'm not sure what the cars worth, its on my drive and I have been meaning to either get it back on the road or just sell it as is for quite some time. Now I've finally got round to it!
Questions, comments or anything are welcome.
Oh and its been parked all this time with the handbrake off and in 1st gear....if that makes a difference to you.
Pics below....
PS. I have the standard stereo in the garage (its missing in the pic), and the oil filler cap cover broke (last pic), it still works as an oil filler cap but the yellow cover broke off - nothing to worry about
