Just goes to show that you should never sell a rare car on ebay.
I've seen really tidy Goodwoods going for close on £3k within the last year. That's not to say they've sold 'em at that price, but I've seen enough to suggest that it's not unreasonable for one to sell for £2k+

best thing about the 309 GTi is the electric rear quarter lights.

that good wood is defo worth alot. my mates bought and sold a couple of those in the last 2 years for around the £4k mark.
if that dimma is a genuine one its also worth alot (i think). check out the kit see if its a true dimma kit or a copy.

That first Goodwood that went for £700 on ebay had no tax or test and didnt look that nice, and the second one was listed as a 309 in Goodwood Green, I reckon the 5 doors might mean it wasnt a real one.
I got offered a 309 Goodwood a year or so ago, and I had to pass as the guy wanted £2500 for it, it was nice, very nice, but I only put strong money down in run of the mill stuff. A couple of people I spoke to reckoned he wasnt talking daft so it does seem as though they're worth a fair bit to the right man.
Really you`d have to ask yourself if you`d want to break something up that could go for enough money to buy 2 other reasonable hot hatches to break up and mess about with and also leave some readies left over. I wouldnt!

Be interested in prices and specs for both of those to be honest 309 looks like a nice goodwood, and the 205 definately has potential Especially as I have access to a rather sorry looking but mechanically superb Xantia Activa and its 2.0l turbo motor ;D Seriously interested in spec and price, PM me if you want, wherabouts are you ?

Yes, its a pukka goodwood (i'd never heard of one before) but leather/wood, green paint trick engine swansong special edition named after a racetrack? wonder where they got THAT idea lol couldn't get an under bonnet shot, found this in the footwell... looks a good clean car, drove in, 140,000 showing but 6 months test (tax just out) I will put it here if it does come up for sale (probably will, same kid scrapped a zx volcane cos he had nowhere to put it an couldn't get a quick sale) The 205 though... oh dear! copy kit, interior in bits and, although it is a 1.9 injector it takes the wrong fuel totally gash. and, its for sale.......he wants £500 (not gonna get it though lol) again, ill post any developments.

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

I wasn't gonna ask......but my curiosity got the better of me......Dimma copy kit, great big Speedlines (or copies)....and 1769cc of diseasel donkey that couldn't get out of its own way in a standard 205, let alone one full of bondo, plastered in Tupperware and running 20+% overgeared.... WHY? ? :-)

The mind boggles at the amount of money he must have to spend, just to funk that up so badly... The 309 is interesting tho, i have a 309 TD at the mo, which i'm surprisingly starting to like, so one with much more poke would probably be great. On the subject of 309's, anyone got a full set of wheel bolts (the longer, non tapered sort) for one of these? need some to fit the 205 alloys i've got for it..

I'd really like the wheels if they ever need a home. From the 309 that is.

I'm amazed how much these Goodwood 309's fetch - are they that good?! Or is it purely because they're rare as poor quality wobbly children's play pony teeth? ....and 1769cc of diseasel donkey that couldn't get out of its own way in a standard 205 That tickled me ;D

....and 1769cc of diseasel donkey that couldn't get out of its own way in a standard 205 That tickled me ;D ;DIt's true!! ;D I've got one on my drive I'm trying to get shut of, apparently all the rally boys are clamouring for 3dr 205 shells (which this one is), but in every other respect it's a Horror Heap Of Doom....it's only done 73k, two little old lady owners etc etc......will do the magic ton, but needs SIX MILES to get there (don't ask me how I know this )....I've spotted an immaculate 5-door 63k from new 205 GRDT close to me but I can't buy it until this blasted 3dr thing's out of the way because I haven't got room!!!

I've had first-hand experience of the Pug 205 diseasel as I owned one for a spell last year! I found it fairly pokey round town but I never took it on a long run.... maybe that was for the best! Wish I could have hung onto it now if the 3-drs are fetching money. I sold mine for £30, making a loss of £20 ;D
