Love Alfa 33s ... hope it goes somewhere good.
Probably a topic for its own thread but has anyone dropped a 1.7 16V from the 147 into a 33? They are basically an evolution of the last 33 flat 4 engines. Or even one of the straight 4 T-Sparks.. although I guess that would be a pig to fit.

I think Alfa offered a 1.7 16v engine in the last 33’s. that they did....awesome car.....and 4wd on some of the estate versions if i remember right......hubba hubba |

Yeah I meant the 145  . sorry I think Alfa offered a 1.7 16v engine in the last 33’s. Indeed they did, the 145 engine is a later upgrade of that, mainly in the area of injection,.. I think it drops a couple of bhp on the last 33 engine, but is supposed to be a bit smoother. I'll start a thread in main at some point as I love Alfa 33s ... someone should deffo buy this, they are an ace car  |

No good for you RG, its not tax exempt, insurance is probably too high, 0-60 is just above the ‘9.18 sec’ threshold of acceptability and you are unlikely to get it for £300 etc etc etc

No good for you RG, its not tax exempt, insurance is probably too high, 0-60 is just above the ‘9.18 sec’ threshold of acceptability and you are unlikely to get it for £300 etc etc etc doesnt need to be tax exempt just lower braket  don't know about insurance didnt have a qoute yet  under 12 sec is good enough under 10 is great ;D and got up to a grand for a gooden   |

my white 33.1.7 i pay 130 a year on classic insurance and love driving the car ,i get a lot of looks when I'm out in mine as you hardly see any 33s on the road. You can take the alfa 145 and 146 1.7 16v engines out and bolt straight into a sud,33 or sprint but if you want to use carbs you have to get inlet manifolds made up. I love a nice early 33 and the 1.5 is a much nicer drive than the 1.7 IMO.
