The other day (with not much else to do) I decided to go along to the Leamington 100 show. It was more of a Leamington 30 if I am honest, although it did not stop some tasty material from being shown, or at the very least, stuff you do not see everyday, besides the modern hot hatches and BMWs.
A tidy Hillman. It was quite inside too!:
Why does this E36 seem familiar?
An 1100 Mk1 Escort the owner uses as his everyday transport.
One for Akku? A Pontiac LeMans Sport:
I can't remember the last time I saw an XJ40 XJR, let alone one that was a pace/fire car!:
Or one of these for that matter:
Call it a stock Mk X, but the look seemed to work very well IMO. It did look lovely:
A RedTop:
In a now rarely seen variant of an Astra:
With another:
Call them 'scene' or popular, but this Mk1 Estate did look great. I'm sure I have seen it about a few times too on the road, sideways at times too :
With some lows, that would have been spot on:
And one of the Drifters:
Ok, it could have had more retro material, and been a little busier (RetroWarwick certainly seems to have captured the essence in recent years but it was good to see stuff which is not all that often seen, moreso stuff that is now in the 'banger' territory of retros .
