	As said its a brazillian race car series, I cant work out enough of the language to actualy work out what they are called, but TC comes up quite often. The only thing I know for sure is that I don't know alot about them. Nothing infact, except they look odd.

	Yep, they kept building the original 1960 ford falcon into the '90's, late ones having their own awkward '80's facelift.. Though those shown have custom fronts from the racers.

Pictures are actually from Argentina, not Brazil. The first image is a kind of Photoshop creation. Most of the cars belong to a racing category called "TC" where the shape of the front of the car is free and the round shape was adopted. TC stands from Turismo Carretera, something like Open Road Tourism, because it started as a kind of Rally races. Then the power made it to risky and through the 80s the open road races were abandoned. All the following racing cars are Ford Falcon from TC. These pictures are now ordered by age from the oldest one to the newest where the cars have been somehow updated through the years. The following are 2 Dodge Polara/Coronado which were the first ones Dodge used on TC, because the Coupe was launched about 2 years after the 4 door sedan. It's based on the Dart A Body. This one is the Dodge Polara/GTX, a Coupe based on the before mentioned 4 door car. The last one is a Volkswagen Gacel (a Volkswagen Gol 4 door sedan derivative) also known as Volkswagen Fox on the States. But this one belongs to a different category called TC 2000, but in this case TC stands for Turismo Competición, something like Competition Tourism. The 2000 comes for the engines where it was limited to 2 liters.

I have to agree with the path the Ford Falcon did through the years in Argentina, but don't say it loud, because there are a lot of fans of it around here. I talked a lot of years ago with the guy involved in most of the later restylings (Jorge Tomadoni) and he confessed Ford never approved a deeper change based on investments and customers. I saw a few designs on paper discarded by Ford, making the Falcon look more like a Granada. The Chevrolet Opala was only built on Brazil, where the Falcon only in Argentina.
