ive got some 70s scalextric. bought the clubby rallycross set earlier this month, and had to restorate the track and cars.all works a treat now. went on an ebay buying frenzy for cars, tyres and spares. built a 3.0 csl into my own personal racer.  fitted these wheels  with these tyres  and is going to get a hi po 20k motor fitted sometime soon. the plan for the new year is to board out the attic and get a replica of the monaco circuit built. ;D |

Cool stuff! My prob at the moment is the chassis I used was one of those magnetic type ones .I removed the magnets,when I cut the chassis --now it slides all over the place ,and wont corner!

scalextric sport silicon tyres are the future. my non magnet bim whips round the twisties, and ive not fitted the silicons yet. ;D what diameter/ width are the wheels?  |

I used to have the mini clubman set as a kid, then bought loads of track from jumble sales.

I made these two to run on Tri-ang Minic track, a sort of 1/76 scale scalextric.   Other than that, I've got goodness knows how many real scalextric metros, a couple of clubman minis and a few other cars. Cars without magnets are always more fun for rear-end-out cornering  |

Ah !The Minic motorway . Used to have one of those as a kid with all the extras .
Cars without magnets are good ,but cars that should have magnets that youve disabled,don't go round corners!! lol !
