With the recent loverly weather that was keeping us company before the crimbo break it alerted me to the fact the the 1000 has a complete lack of rear fog light and i think it might be a good idea to get one fitted. I don't just want to fit so horrid plastic thing dangled off the rear end and was looking for something in chrome thats not to big to ti of the rear bumper. I've scanned ebay without much success any seen any or am i going to have to wait till the next Newark autojumble before i get one (Good excuse to go i suppose ) Simon

Is it worth doing for the 2 or 3 days a year you'd actually need to use it?
Even in the supposedly thick fog that closed most UK airports last week, visibility was never poor enough for me to switch on my foglamps.
If the car doesn't legally need one, I wouldn't bother fitting one.

I think something square/rectangular with a chrome bezel would look best on the back of that.
Having said that we've never had one on any of our cars. As twinspark says its not often needed but when it is I have wondered about how well anyone would see a fog coloured car like mine - or indeed yours.

not sure where you could place a fog on your's TBH. maybe a small, chrome bezeled round light in the centre of the car under the valance? like some racy tow eye have a browse here, stafford vehicle components another kit car company, now appearing at hot rod events to flog their wares. their thermostatic fan switches are the tops, BTW.

If I remember correctly, the chrome rear bumper on the 1000 has a hole underneath on each side near the tail-lights. If you can find a suitable looking fog lamp, you could fit a pair using these holes to keep it symmetrical looking.
Just a thought, my Pulsar passes MOT with one rear brake light on each side re-wired as a fog-lamp for the day, so maybe you can find a nicer looking brake light from something?
Aaron.
