A while back (few months i think) someone posted a thread with lots of retro mostly japanese rc car bodies with a supplier. I've tried the search function with no luck can anyone help me find the thread or is the original poster about to give me the link. All this RC talk has made me want to spend some of my crimbo money and start racing again but i want some retro bodies Simon

Spotted them thanks mate things have progressed allot since i was racing about 4 years ago. Been on the local club's web site and i looks like i have the choice between running an 1:10 touring car as they run an "all out" class then one with a 27turn motor limit or a tamiya mini as they run a class just for these cars with 2 choices of motor and a few other rules. ABC make some cool retro bodies for the mini but i've found a site that says some of them only fit the HPI type mini RS4 cars. Also like the idea of a touring car for a bit of drifting so might go that way still. Just the other debate now of do i want and see what people are selling after upgrading or getting unwanted presents over crimbo.

Do they actually run (sorry misread the first time you said tamiya mini) mardave minis, or mardave V12's (what the 1/12 hot rods and bangers are) Touring cars are ace, but lots of £££ that should be spent on big cars, also the richer you are the faster your car is as with all motorsport but the scope for buying expensive bits is so much broader particuarly if racing an unlimited touring car. For getting back into RC racing go with the V12 on circuit or oval, a kit is about £50 then radio and an ESC on top a set of four cell 3300mAh batteries and a nice peak charger and you are competitive. Spares are pennies.

Unfortunately no mate they run 4 classes buggies touring modified (anything allowed) touring stock (only 27 turn stock motors) Mini (tamyia mini chassis and either the 540 silver or sport tuned black tamyia motor) think i'm heading towards the mini option, Just dug my xxx-nt adam drake out the shed going to try and swap it for electric.
