hi ,i need some advice on piston rings ,ford 711m xflow ,pistons are 0.30 so 30plus oversize made by ae ,ive measured the rings and came up with ,,topring 1.5m ,midring 1.9m botton ,oil ring 4.5m .rang a well known parts company that deal in perfomance ford parts and was told i need to convert my measurment to inches ,this ive not a clue how to do ,I'm no engine builder and just having a go meself ,any advice would be great and any on where i can get piston rings from ,thanks for any help or advice ,norm ,

just google "1.5mm in inches" instant conversion...
I assume you meant mm not m?
Are you talking about ring gap? if so put the ring in the bore push half way down the stroke with w piston to level it then measure the gap with a feeler gauge, a general rule is 4 thou per inch of bore, if your bores are worn check at top and bottom of the stroke, if they are rebored just check halfway down the stroke.
Piston rings are available from any engine parts specialist, try Burton power for Ford bits...

Oh yeah and when you file the to adjust the gap always file flat and into the centre of the circle..
