Just collected her today, 79k on the clock, lot of service history, Very tired interior and needs a paint job. All for £800 - I'm more than chuffed with her! Maybe a colour change? PICS?

Love these. Is there enough space in the back for a couple of kids? I could well be tempted by one for my next purchase!!

Great looking car...and for only £800 Absolute bargain. P.S. The rear wiper arm is in the wrong position. It should be facing upwards when parked. (See below picture).

Nice car! I agree with you Porsche - Not ideal for long journeys but do-able!
I love a 944, miss mine. What year is it?

Are you mad? ;D Red is the perfect colour for an '80s Porsche. A good machine polish and that would look spot-on.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

As long as there's no nasty surprises, that looks like £800 very well spent!

These are such good cars. Looks like an excellent use if £800.
I think the back seat debate depends how tall you (the driver) is. I'm just over 6ft and nobody was going to get behind my seat... I fitted three adults fairly often, but it does require the one in the back to lean into the middle...

You have to be a bit careful with that, I know there is variations in the nose cones, for instance the S2/Turbo style is very slightly deeper.
I am sure Porsche or Sumpcracker would be able to give better advice than me.
I'd leave it stock, mop it and roll as is personally!

The one on the photo is not a 944 at all. Beware. The Turbo front is really pricey and not having a proper Turbo model is like adding an M3 sticker to your 316i. I wouldn't do it. The scoop is nice as well and I'm going this direction with my plastic bucket, but I'm going to the more extreme direction in general. Get a proper paint job, tidy that Tranny a little up and enjoy it. I'd go for a bright gold.

The car in the picture is a 924 Carrera.
If you want a Turbo nosecone I know where there is a '24/'44 breakers who would have one cheap (plus any other parts you might need)
They are just off the A50 near EastMids Airport...

i really need to do something with the paint on the car, Its beyoend a mob and polish, because some mug has repainted the car and just lashed it over, so apart from stone chips etc the edges of the car are peeling because the hard to reach areas were painted on the old paint and not even primed..
i will probably paint it panel by panel in the garage... cant decide to keep it red, or paint it white or maybe yellow?

The 924 Carrera bonnet scoop and front vented panel will pretty much bolt straight on to your 944 no problem. I think fibreglass copies are ready available from Porsche specialists? Saying that, I have to agree with Kaihellyeah when he says it'll cheapen the car... I say don't fit 'em. As for fitting a 944 S2/Turbo front...You can buy fibreglass S2/Turbo style bumpers to fit to your style 944, but they don't really look right and you can tell they are copies. To convert it with original parts isn't cheap. There are lots of parts to change that you wouldn't think need changing. For starters you'll need both front wings, headlamp covers, pods, headlamp shrouds, front bumper, indicators, spot/fog lamps, the plastic that fits to the bottom of the bumper, alloy bumper bar and maybe the crush tubes, the front centre panel between the headlamps and maybe even the headlamps, headlamp cradles and dip motors? Basically, the only front panel that is the same is the bonnet. I'd do something like this... Yes, I know it's a 924, but this is another way of making one look cool. Just keep it simple If you change the colour, I wouldn't paint it a less desirable colour. I'd leave it red or paint it silver or maybe black?
