Ok, so I needed something big, comfy, reasonably economical, disposable, retro and, hopefully, cool as a work hack for pimping up and down the country. I've usually gone down the Volvo/BM/Jag route in the past, but I couldn't resist this old tank once I'd spotted the plate. Purchased from Lawsy off of this very forum - thanks chap!
It's a 2-litre 8-valve with a stainless exhaust, coilovers, VR6 rear lights and various other nice touches, plus what must be the best plate available for a B3 wagon.
It's proper pov-spec on the inside with tasty blue interior and keep-fit windows, but it's ideal for my needs and we've already bonded on the way back up from the deep south. First jobs are to sort out the faded bumpers and replace the thermostat, and I've already fixed the stretched throttle cable that gave about an inch of travel, around 70% throttle and the sensation of stamping on a bagfull of kittens. Oh, and I badly need to find wheels (being skint puts a temporary halt on that, however).
Have some iffy Instagram photos for now until I have chance to give it a clean and get the camera out.
