BMW 328i SE
MOT 06 2013
Tax 12 2012
We bought this car around 5 months ago, to do a European Charity Road Trip. We have now done the trip, made it safely back, and had a great time. The car is now sadly for sale. If I had the storage I would keep it for next years road trip.
We covered over 3000 Miles in a week, from the UK, various stops, all the way down to Italy, and back upto Prague, and then a 1100 mile non stop drive home. The BMW has seen the Autobahns, mountain passes, Italian city's and was not phased by anything. We even ended up towing a broken down Porsche 924 to our hotel with no problem. Really has been a complete joy to do the trip in.
Its now completely decal free. Its covered just over 136k.
Before going we wanted to give it the best chance we could. A complete service, oil, filters etc, and we also did the front and rear brake pads, just in case.
For the whole trip we averaged 39 MPG, better than some of the smaller engined diesels on the trip!
2 Little faults with the car, the Petrol Gauge does not work, we just topped it up every 200 miles, and a low brake pad warning light is on. This is due to us not replacing the brake pad sensor when doing the pads. The sensor is around £5, and about 20 mins time to replace at home, its easy enough, but was not vital to our trip
Any Questions please ask. I am based in Westfield in East Sussex.
Thank you, Scott
