Could someone explain this to me.
I took the battery of the Polo earlier to give it a bench charge. I disconnected it, and as I lifted the battery out the positive connector hit the wiper motor, and sparked. I know I shouldn't have done this, but once I'd put the battery down, I tried nudging the positive against the wiper motor again and nothing happened.
Now why did this happen? Surely as I had disconnected the battery there would be no source of electricity in the system?
