Can anyone recommend an adult education evening course in the N. London, E. London or central London areas which covers things like welding, lathe work and milling machines? In essence I'd just like access to the tools and machinery plus some basic guidance so I can turn up and make things - brackets, pulleys, that kind of thing.
I'm not looking for a qualification and it doesn't particularly have to be labelled 'car restoration'.
many thanks

Okay then, how about South of the river or Essex - or am I missing a trick here? Is there some other way of gaining access to such facilities ? Ta

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I might have found a welding course reasonably locally via hotcourses.com, less luck with the machining but one thing might lead to the other
