I am a 34 year old with a 1989 Caddy pickup ;D I am having major problems trying to find a reasonable insurance quote. It's kept on private property, I have no accidents, claims or convictions and neither does my 30 year old wife. It's not sign written, it doesn't have racking. We both have 12 years+ no claims discount and I only want to do 2000 miles a year. I can't find anything under £400 I value it about £800 It's a 1.6 petrol and not modified Where does everyone else get their insurance from?

Try adrian flux, footman james insurance and peter james insurance. I bet a call round those three will result in a <£200 quote
I got a quote of £150 for a modified mk2 golf gti, 3k a year as a 2nd car so not using my NCB or anything. I'm 26.
I pay £300 with adrian flux on a modified (engine swap from a golf, lowered, alloys etc) t25 camper van as my daily driver. I've got 8 years NCB

.. but from other threads you've posted in, I assume it will be modified soon even if you aren't counting the little bits you've already mentioned. It won't cost any more to declare things correctly through the right sort of broker. Two more to try.. Sky Insurance and Lancaster

I would have said Adrian Flux if they hadnt screwed me over when I changed car's. Does depend who you speak to though, I have found (don't shout at me) if you phone Flux up and speak to a woman - you will not get a good price, speak to a guy & you will (proven by saving £1100 on one quote and £300 on another, just by speaking to someone who knew what they were talking about). Shame not all the staff are as helpful as each other.
