Well i never achived my dream of getting my car in a Magazine thanks to the end of Retro Magazine. But here is the next best thing. My car is Car of the Month on Keith Adams excellent site www.austin-rover.co.uk Good write up. I am very happy man, good christmas present. I also have all 140 of the Photo's that were taken that day on Disc. Keith also e mailed me to say that in the car of the year section on his forum my car is currently looks set to be voted car of the year by the readers. That site is viewed more than Retro Mag as well so it will be seen all around the world.

Well done...I've just read the write up, you must be justifiably proud. That Austin-Rover site is one of the best on the web. Congrats!!!

Must say, we've all been drooling over that! Gorgeous motor in many ways.
Check out the forum and the Images part at the bottom. Someone has stuck some later 17" alloys on it and whitened the rear indicators.

Thanks Guys! and to think that i have seriously been thinking of selling up! Not at the moment though as i re-taxed her after a month af Sorn and took her down south for the weekend, where she behaved herself very well despite very bad traffic. She also slaughtered a new shape Scooby from the lights in Basingstoke.

My dad said he saw an SD1 in Basingstoke but I can't remember what car he would have been in. ;D

It was so good taking the car around such familiar roads as i had lived there from 87 untill 18 months ago. Basingstoke has such a class Ring Road system. A real proving ground for the locals. I was doing vastly quicker speeds on sections than other cars i have owned and driven there.

Lovely SD1, well done. Especially like the subtle tweaks, it's a very tastefully modded car. That site is awesome, I spent a few hours on it on Sunday arvo schooling myself up on obscure BLMC products
