Twin-twincharging. The way forward (although I've only seen it done once. On a pontiac drag car.)

I've gone for supercharging, because it's different....and who else remembers Robbie Coltrane driving that gorgeous 1930's Mercedes on TV a few years ago! Having said that there's an interesting tech series running in Retro Ford over the next couple of months where they're going to turbo a Crossflow...be interested in seeing how that one comes out......

I've been investigating this too as i've got a spare 1300cc 4K engine for my Kp. After talking to and letting my engine builder mate have a look at the R1 carbs I have he says they will take upto about 1 bar of pressure maybe more. I was going to be looking for a GT15 turbo as these are ball bearing so spool up real quick and seem to be a popular choice for small engines (it's the turbo of choice for the guys that turbo the cinquecento). HKS in the 80s made a turbo kit for the 4K engine which runs at 0.4 bar! No idea what turbo it was though. Obviously unavailable now.

Although turbo is more plumbing it the way to go, find a small T2/3 (metro, uno or a renault 5) more will suit your purposes lag will be small and manageable. Supercharge will be heavier and I don't like em! Driven a few superchaged cars including a 350Z with a stillen superchager conversion and I just don't like the way they drive. Nothing beats the kick you get when the turbo kicks in plus the noise is way better

Supercharger, power low down where you need it, then a turbo for the high end.

There was one on the auctions the other month mate sold for about 160,000YEN!!!!! Also had the chance of buying the manifold and turbo from the guy i brought my pistons from. When i looked into it would be cheaper for me to build a simple log type manifold and buy a GT15 from ebay.

Or just put a 1600+ X-flow in it. Which really would be a lot less hassle. what Say U. ??

Ive gone Charger,,, I'm a big fan of it Only thing that puts me off turbos is the extra heat. Chargers have started to get more development now and are getting alot better WEST

Definately turbo.
Re-con Metro T3 for sale by the way ;D ;D ;D
On a more serious note, I would go for a turbo. A log type manifold would be easy enough to make and there are more turbo's than superchargers available for small engines I think. Largely a case of personal preference though, both can give a similar performance increase.
