I am advertising this on behalf of my brother, he is in the Navy so isnt around to sell at present.
Hello everyone, I've sadly decided to part with my Beetle. I'm doing a lot more miles with work so need something a bit more economical. I have owned the car for 8 years.
It is a 2000 2.0L Beetle. The mileage is 89,154 MOT until 30th July 2013, Taxed until 28th February 2013, full service history with lots of receipts and all MOTs held.
The car has quite a few modifications. These are: Full ProjektZwo body kit, ProjektZwo twin tailpipes, the car was also lowered on ProjektZwo springs (I'm not sure how much lower it is though), ProjektZwo 18" alloys - 18x8.5 on the front and 18x10 on the rear, clear rear lights, clear front indicators, tinted windows, full leather retrim with beetle logos on the front seats, assorted chrome shiny bits inside, H16 BUG plate. The car looks really different, especially when parked next to a standard beetle. I stuck a sport badge on the back a few years ago that I got off ebay and it looks pretty good. I get people asking me if it is a genuine sport model
In the 8 years I have had it I have only covered 40,000 miles as I have spent a lot of time at sea (plus I have a motorbike as my weekend toy ). The water pump, cambelt and alternator belt were replaced at 60,808 miles, the alternator was replaced at 80,901 miles, 2 new front tyres about 1000 miles ago, new front discs & pads at 88,075 miles. I have just had to spend a bit to get it through its latest MOT as it had a few warning lights. The steering angle sensor and secondary air pump were replaced, a reconditioned ABS pump was fitted, plus a new RH rear brake caliper.
I will be sad to see it go, but I have now bought a new car and its time to move on. 8 years is the longest I have owned any car. I still find that I look at the refelction when I go past shop windows
Oops, nearly forgot to add the price. I am looking for £3995 ono. Two months ago I had the number plate valued at £800. I also have various bits to throw in with the car such as the original rear lights, original stereo (it has an alpine headunit fitted now), Haynes and Bentley service manuals, a spare set of standard steel wheels, a tailored car cover (imported from the US from covercraft).
Thanks for looking.
