I have always wanted a traffic light in my garage (also want a Parking meter) Previous attempts have seen me being outbid on even silly high numbers. Saturday evening I his a final 6 seconds bid of double the opening bid and snagged these two for the opening bid as no one had bid. I have to say that the listing was not well done.... Plans include getting them down to Kent from Birmingham.... anyone coming down soon? There you go..... pics taken by my mate who collected them for me tonight. When they get here the plan is to build a sequencer and fit one inside and one outside the garage.

Currently driving a '68 Karmann Ghia as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

Top work Grizz. Those would appear to be temporary road works, traffic management spec units. Contractors commonly use them either side of small road work schemes with a gennie chugging away beside them. Permanent/static signal heads are much bigger and a lot heavier as they tend to be housed in a steel (sometimes ali) unit. You'd be surprised how few Council's are swapping over to LED units. Most wait for a developer, usually a large retailer, to pay for the upgrades as part of their highway works improvements! Sorry, I'm in geeky work mode! I'll shut up now

Any info always appreciated. One of the greatest things on this forum is the shared knowlege. I agree with the temporary lights theory. To me they are just cosmetic fun items to go with my other mad things like the number plates and signs. Ohhh and the price was right as long as I do not have to drive up to fetch them as the company car costs me 15p/mile. Not much but would add to landed cost of lights.

Well, up at 04.30 and left home by 05.30 ..... got to Birmingham by 08.23 to fetch these babies. 330 mile round trip, so about 500km in modern language. Am I chuffed ?? You betcha. Next up will be sorting the wiring and getting one or both to to work and then fitting them somewhere.

Always wanted a parking meter in the garage or back yard.... Bid on a couple before and never won, knew they can make good money. This week I was watching one and bid in the last 10 seconds.... and won !! I have a pole aleady so it should soon become "That bloody parking meter!" I am sure it will give me as much fun as the traffic lights.
