I've thought about and tried to get into car sales a couple of times over the years. I'd love to give it a go.
Never had any replies to speculative CVs I've submitted, so I'll have to be content with my current job - I'm a Business Development Manager for a German company that sounds a bit like the sound you make when you sneeze.....

I work for VAG group, nothing exciting, normally stuff to do with part reports and how much of what have we sold. On a student placement for the year. The work itself is pretty mundane, but it's made up with the trips to munich and driving of all the top cars, drove the RS4/S6/S8 the other week It's nice as I'd never have the opportunity to drive such cars normally.

I'm a digital artist, everything from photo manipulation to 3D modelling, done work for film, advertising etc, lots of freelance stuff. Also do a bit of video editing, audio engeneering & sequencing. Currently work for a company in Burton-on-Trent doing all their advertising and media in house. Am also back at university again doing a degree in Computer Games Design. So nothing even remotely related to cars there

i work for midland performance centre in walsall. mainly interweb based things, like ebay shop, website (midlandperformancecentre.co.uk) and the adverts for classic ford, total vauxhall, retro cars, and custom car, if you look for the blue and yeller advert - thats me ;D i took a hand to doing the chip tuning now too, just writing and rewriting the ECU's with the new files from unitronic, great part of the job, you sit about for a good hour in some posh car, and get to rag the curse word out of it before and after ;D we've got a rolling road and fabricators next door too, which are always good fun to speak to. I'm full time at uni mainly though doing motorsport engineering, so its only a 1-02 day a week thing at the moment, but i was fulltime for about 6 months some pics:

andy998imp in da house: JOBSWhen it comes to that I concider myself verry fortunate, don't ever think I have applied for a job in my whole life, I have always been asked to move from one to another.... Started out in the watchmaking biz when dropping out of school at 17, spent some years with that and got into owning night clubs in Stockholm and in 83 I cashed out and left Sweden for So Cal, spent a year on the beach surfing then it all started again, managed a 17 location fine dining chain on the US west coast for a couple of years where I met a Fashion Photographer who I started to work as a camera assistant for, spent a couple of years with that, making friends and connections, then the car & bike bug bit again so I left end spent a year working on Hot Rods for Roy Fjastad in Costa Mesa. During my time with the photographer I met up with a car nut who was starting out a marketing company and we hooked up again and he made me a partner in the biz and we landed Nissan Desingn Studios in Torrance as our biggest (and soon our only) client, did customer clinics, customer relations and had mad fun driving everything from Nissan Stanzas to Nissan GTP cars and getting paid for it.... Cashed out in 1994 and moved back to Sweden and got into politics, spent some time on city council in Vallentuna (outside Stockholm) and was from there drafted into the Goverment, working with unemployment related issues, became a bit "uncomfortable" when I wanted to do some real reform and left to join the IT-boom, did that for 3 years and again cashed out just before it all went down the drain and took a couple of years of..... Today (and for the last 5 years) I do what I LOVE, I work in a small Aprilia dealership (Starol Racing) some 70km outside Stockholm, we are 3 people and 2 dogs here and I could not be happier with life, when I'm not in the shop I build Kustom & Stripper bikes in my workshop at Mosta Hill and looking forward to my 50'th birtday the summer of 2007..... I don't have a job, no one will employ me. Apparently I'm not "experienced" enough You want to export your readers rides thread from here, export to word etc and edit slightly for an outside audience. take to interview and bits for job apps. The sort of plan i have been cooking up for a while, yet applications and interviews catch me out. You'll get summat soon.

Got my own Sign company, only a little shop but its ok. Do quite a few car graphics but mainly modern stuff. Did do the graphics for Nightmares Racing Kadett. Also own a classic number plate business. Doing custom plates for classic/custom cars, only do it at car shows at weekends and sell a few on E-Bay but quite enjoy it.

I planned to be a journo when I went back to Uni to be a "mature student", got side tracked into building websites for the last close to 10 years. Not been my best year though.
Got made redundant twice since June, watched shares drop to an eighth of what they should have been despite the redundancies to cut company losses. After being out of work since sept, got an interview in October, got made an offer for that Job in November, was supposed to start at the beginning of December.
But as nothing ever goes to plan for me, I emailed the boss to check on dress code, what time he wanted me in etc, got a phone call telling me he can't start me until January now (he hopes) as some expected contracts aren't getting signed until then, now. Pissedoff about that seeing as I stopped looking for other work and signed his contract as soon as I got the offer.
Been a very curse word year and now it is too close to Xmas to find anything solid and permanent and don't know what else other than websites I want to do anymore.
I don't thing I have the balls to risk giving freelance Journalism a chance, and I don't have the experience now to go magazine staffer permanent, so I'm stuck in a career path to know-where feeling old, depressed and unwanted. Oh and Cancer got my mother too. So I had to bury her while I was at it.
I really hope 2007 can't be any worse.
