Right folks Friend of the forum Takayuki has made an Amazon.co.jp "shop" for J-car magazines : astore.amazon.co.jp/doubleclutc0a-22Instructions for using it are on his blog : www.double-clutch.net/archives/2006/12/doubleclutchnet_book_store_now.htmlSo you can get the latest issues of j-car magazines including Enjoy Retro Car sent direct to your door from the land of the rising sun. I think Enjoy Retro Car should be about £11-£12 landed in this country. I can get it for £10 an issue landed, but if purchasing from me it'd be about £13-£14 by the time it got to your door .. so basically you'd be better off getting through Amazon.co.jp Back issues you can't get through Amazon though as the sellers won't ship overseas (I tried ) ... So good news, (and bad news if you were looking to make some pocket money from selling Japanese car magazines in the UK).. If anyone is interested in the current Enjoy Retro Car and doesn't want to go through Amazon I've got 6 issues on hold at the moment. I can have them on my door step by the end of the week. I'm just not sure its worth it. So PM me if interested.

Replying to my own post is a poor show, but...
I thought it was worth mentioning through contacts made in Japan it is possible to get other car related 'stuff' sent over, I'm avoiding car parts and things as there are other people that deal with them, but would anybody be interested in anything else? DVDs? Models? Stickers? anything?

I know it's parts but I think one of the best things to bring in from Japan would be proper fender mirrors. There's loads of people who'd like some and they're not so easy to come by. Japanese market badges as well.
As for other stuff... Tomica Limited Vintage models. Everyone here and on ebay charges silly money for them.

I'd be interested in old used VHS tapes! There's a wealth of old racing/drifting videos in VHS format going for peanuts in Japan, some really oldskool looking ones! I saw a Garuchan one, 80s Tsuchiya drift vids, all sorts.
Interested in stickers too.

Adam, did you buy some of those ones with the holes in the stems like these? I had these a couple of years ago and they came from ebay. Looked good but the quality was just dreadfull. *Edited for clearer pic

I'll look into the fender mirror thing. Sounds like there are a number of badly made ones out there.

Sticker wise period Japanese stickers are a good choice, also thinking some of the modified/boso stickers for those that like that kind of thing. I was tempted by some JAF badges as well.
I hadn't considered diecast/matchbox style cars, I'll have a look into that stuff and see if anything can be found. I was thinking more of plastic models. There seems to be a lack of people doing the more outlandish ones.

Good stickers! This sticker says "Use leaded petrol". Usually this one should go to front bumper ;D It says "Non emission controlled car" (Actually indicated as "Special Idle HC Consistency") to identify that this car is legally non-catalytic converter car when you go to MOT.

Cool stuff! I just got Nostalgic Hero Vol.51 today, 'read' it the wrong way and didn't get any of it but boy, there are lots of amazing pics in it. It's the Sunny vs Corolla issue, yay! There's a couple more mags on the way from Japan, pricy but fun! Fender mirrors are a good thing, I might be in for a pair of cool ones for the KE15.

Eddie my boy, Yeah the mirrors I bought wher not the ones with the holes but of a similar look with a round-edged rectangle type mirror. The things are ok, its the base part that joint to the wing thats poor and hence a poor fit! I'm VERY interested in a few copies of the retro Ma`gazines but on your site you have alot and which ones can you actually still get. I see they start from vol 4? Cheers Adam

Doubleclutch, how easy is it to get the likes of the 'P' sticker that is generally seen on the rear bumper of the C110 GT-R or in the rear window at the bottom right?
Also, I have a Nissan Prince brochure that show an R32 sedan on the front, in cartoon form with the people inside saying things. If I was to scan it in, could you let me know what it says at all please?
