...are available for the Peugeot 406. They're quite good: www.extreme-sportscars.com/Alternatively, avoid people using the word 'fake' or coming back to your car and finding annoying know-it-all types pointing out that your tax disc says 'Peugeot' and do this: That'll do nicely. (Thanks to Mr Bognor for posting the first pic in the NRNR thread!

Some of them are quiet impressive, until you look close to listen to them pull away. Seems a bit of a waste of the 406 Coupes which, IMO, are very good looking as standard. I've never driven one but it wouldn't surprise me if the handling was a bit off compared to the original car because they almost all just huge wheel spacers/silly offsets that the suspension just isn't designed for. But I guess that they are purely for posing in so don't really matter...

Are they X5 alloys? Jolly good show I think the 406 coupé is a very nice shape, and they're getting really cheap now.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

One of my mates does these, Ferrari kit cars and Bentley... I myself don't quite see why you would want one... It's just a reminder that you cannot afford the real thing

It's just a reminder that you cannot afford the real thing Thing is, for what it cost's to do it right, you could buy a real porsche 911 or an 80's Ferrari. The 406 Coupe is a stunning car & that blue one is perfect.

The 406 Coupe was designed and built by Pininfarina, so there is at least a vague genetic link...

Just to clarify, the thread title is a red herring. Personally, I'd recommend the non-Ferrari route. This thread is actually about the blue one.

The blue one is lovely. The 406 coupe is a fantastic looking thing anyway but they always ride a bit high and had slightly too small wheels.

That is perfect, they are a beautiful car let down by the manufacturer spec ride height/small wheels. This addresses both those issues, the wheel choice is perfect.

The more I look at these, the better I think they look. That blue one is very well done, though I feel as if a little bit of rake would make all the difference somehow?

Had one for a while 2.0 petrol, was underpowered adn heavey but fine for touring and motorways. Loads of room in the m too. The 2.2 diesel would be a nice match the V6 was never all that good and very veyr thristy. It really wanted RWD and a stonking engine to match but sadly was not to be. If I had to do loads of miles again I'd get a 2.2 diesel.

Despite having been into kitcars, that's pretty much my view of fake Ferraris. 2nd hand ones seem to be advertised for stupid money. And the title really is a red herring....... Most of them were based on the Pontiac Fiero, now on MR2, and I've just found somebody did one on an NSX (WHY? ) carscoop.blogspot.com/2008/10/honda-nsx-based-ferrari-360-modena.html

Damn, I was hoping to make my 360 look more like a 406 (no seriously, how cool would that be?) But that Coupe is loverly, and the V6s love to sing!
Perhaps a set of Pug centercaps for those LR wheels would finish it to a tee.
