it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

That's unreal. I would love to have a shot at buying that and making the money back, imagine the interesting and awesome machinery you'd meet along the way.

The thing about the US is theres all that space to hoard stuff. Collections like this are not unique. There was that Chevy stuff that came up for auction a while ago, which was amazing. 24 40 foot containers or something he had. Some nice cars too.

So a lot of these old 'rare' cars exist in gardens etc, accumulating more and more worth, fixing all the rusty and weathered bits would be a pain.

www.carsinbarns.comwhere they are in the dry states its no so bad. I have my own personal gripes about people who hoard. Mind you I'm no better. Someone I know is actively attempting to buy my Oldsmobile and the sensible thing to do is let it go but I'm hoarding it.

Amazing, and as a collection it doesn't look too rotten or overgrown. I fear that one day my own situation will resemble that, only with less valuable stuff... Complete Volvo GLT interiors, or a pile of 1300 type one motors. Ahhh.

As little as 5 years ago they only had fairly low values compared to now.... Stuff gets left to rot. Even Daytonas and Superbirds!

That really is something else! Although I can see wqhy no one bidded on it, its just overwhelming, you'd spend the rest of your life finding out 'what you've baught'..... not saying its a bad thing though!
