I picked this up off a friend of a friend with no MOT. I had intended to just weigh it in, but the engine, box and overall condition is nice so would be a shame to just scrap it!
So, £170 is what the scrap man offered. There is no T&T on the car. It was stood for 2 months, and started first turn of the key. I`ve taken it a drive for about 2-3 miles, and it drives well. No issues with steering, clutch gearbox, engine. No overheating. It`s done 92k, and has been in the same family since 2002. There`s a full book pack with the car, but only 1 service stamp. I know the family though, and it`s been serviced annually at a local garage.
Bodywork is tidy too. It needs a good clean, and a set of alloys/wheel discs would make it look 1000 times better. No obvious rust, but `ive not been underneath.
Basic model, so no PAS or electric windows. Steering is light enough though, and it does come with a nice Sony CD player.
It`d be a great car for someone. It might even MOT straight away, I just don`t have the time or inclination to find out.
I`m located in Chesterfield. I`m happy to collect someone from the train station if you book the car in for an MOT and drive home. Otherwise, it`ll need to be trailered away if you want to remain legal!
