ran the mk1 down for it mot today mainly to see what it would need as i'm going to sell it now (to many other projects 
;D ) now its been off the road for quite a few years sitting in the pevious owners front garden but it did look pretty clean underneath i was expecting to have to do a fair bit of work but once on the ramps it turns out the car is a lot better than i had first thought it failed but to my surprise it only failed on 2 minor things a perished front flexi brake hose and an indicator bulb that had worked itself loose on the way there 
half hour later one new brake hose fitted bit of modding to said bulb holder and i now have a years ticket on the old girl
