I have a problem, well I have many but lets deal with this one first! I have a Range Rover Vogue 4.6 V8 that's just had it's heads done. curse word won't start now! Crank sensor has been changed so apparently all it can be now is the immobilisor so it needs resetting, hence why I need a Rovacom. Also it needs to be local to Ilkeston, Derbys & I'll need someone to go to the car to do it. Massive ask I know but I'm stuck in Oxford & my car's at my friends in Ilkeston Can anyone help me please? :-)

I'd be checking that new sensor.... Same here. My 4.0 RR needed a new engine and when fitted, it wouldn't start. Turned out the "new" sensor was dodgy. Another cured the problem.

If it turns over then it won't be immobiliser. Might have lost the sync with the key? To re-sync the key with the car either press unlock half a dozen times or put the key in the door buttons up, press left button and hold and turn key left, back up to centre (with button still down) then press right button and turn key right then back to centre , release button, do this a few times until the car locks and unlocks with the buttons. Any messages on the dash? Got T4 but a LONG way from you. Sorry

any normal OBD2 scanner will check the CPS, if the engine is immobilised the read out on the dash will tell you so..
check for fuel pressure by holding the schrader valve on the fuel rail open while cranking, can also help push out an air lock, have you done all the usual checks fuel compression and sparks?
I've never known a P38 need testbook after an engine swap where there was no other damage,
