Hi, I am currently in the process of putting a 2.0l Zetec Blacktop into my 1971 MGB GT. However, I need some help with the engine mounts. Can anyone help?!?!?!
I don't think the original mounts can be used but they are still in position.
Thanks. Alex

Yer, you'll have to make some yourself, first decide what rubber mont you'll need you can get them off internet or fleebay. Then position your engine and gearbox where you want making sure everything will fit such as thermostat housing and rad etc. Next you have to decide where to position the mounts on the body which will align with a mounting point on the engine, get some card and fabriacte a body mount for each side. If you've got the equipment then fabricate them your self or get a local engineering shop to make them for you then weld them onto the body and bolt you rubber mount to them. Next get out the cardboard again and fabricate the mount to engine bracket again get them made up and bolt them to the engine and rubber mount. 3mm thick steel will be ok, you can get small plates from fleebay Goodluck. Thick this has been done before so search readers rides and pump them for info.
