Help! I'm going to tint the rear lights on the Polo this weekend but I can't decide what colour, I only know I don't like orange! Idea 1.Red indicators, normal reverse Idea 2.Black indicators, normal reverse Idea 3.Black indicators and reverse. Idea 4.All reds. Hope you don't mind me borrowing your pictures Phil. Adam

3. dunno why exactly, seems to work for me.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Naaah, Lexus lights are so last season! :-p
I voted for two - quite like the moderate smoking effect.

Yeh 3 does it for me. Unfortunately Lexus lights don't appear to be made for the polo saloons

depends on the colour of the car. All red looks neat but does the red match uniformly across the lens(es) as it looks shonky if you end up with 2tone (or 3 tone) red light clusters... the red/black looks sweet on that silver car.

I owned a C-reg Mars red Polo 'Classic' (2dr) some years ago & was gonna smoke the indicator/reverse lenses too. Even got the tin of aerosol stuff but the cars extensive rust in the floor & sill put plans to rest. Guy I sold it too got it fixed up though & it remained on the road for a couple more years!

I'd hit number 3. Keeps a little bit of detail there.

All red on red will be lost. Red and black gets my vote everytime.
Ps. If you go for red indicators, paint your bulbs with green glass paint, and they will flash orange through the lenses. Apparently.

I've definately decided on number 3 now. I think it will look good with the red bodywork and black trim Off to halfords (oh dear) tomorrow.

What about tinting the whole light unit? If that was on the list I'd have voted for that.
