I went round to my friendly local Banger racers last night. Very nice bloke who lets me use his truck for shifting cars about (cheers Till) and he has just collected a Renault Fueago Turbo on an A plate . It's been in storage for 15 years and is as rust free as these come. it does have a largish dent in the N/S/F door and the odd mark but I have never seen one as clean as this. Basicly If anyone wants any bits of it everything is available including a tear free, clean interior, Alloy wheels, which are very similar to a mk2 golf bbs and any pannels as long as a replacement can be exchanged. Now thats all well and good but I'd really like to save it somehow so if a good offer can be made or a swap and some cash for something equally appealing but grotty I'll forward any SERIOUS offers to him [glow=red,2,300]Disclaimer[/glow]:Unfortunatly I didn't have my Camera and it was dark but I can get pics friday and have a proper look in the daylight if anybody is interested. If anyone can point me in the right places to check for grott then I'll give it a full once over Cheers guys. Please keep this thread positive, no Banger Baiting required ;D

Is it red by any chance? Used to love the entertainment factor my old one had, but it didn't half like a drop of fuel.

It's in Ipswich and is not technicly for sale but Money talks, I can't put a price on it as it's not mine but cash under the nose may save it. I'll get the pics and report back so you'll have a better idea of it's condition.

Only up the road from me. Do you reckon he'd be willing to hold on to it for a week or two?
Surely he's not going to banger it over christmas.

do you think £150 would save it? And, would it drive away if all those bits went back on?

If it was closer to me id seriously consider saving it. I love the shape of these, and for some reason I'm loving the interior... anyway it looks to be in very good nick, surely he cant be after too much for it.

Will make a curse word banger without a turbo as the compression will be too low and it wont be very powerful at all. Someone swap him a bluebird!
Atleast it hasnt been hiabed.

Could you possibly see what kind of ballpark figure would sway him? Would be interested if it's not silly money.

I'm going to try to get hold of him today and find out what he would let it go for. If I was to buy it myself and get it road legal and moted who would be interested in winning it in a christmas raffle? I wouldn't be trying to profit from it I'd just like to recoup any costs involved with saving it and getting it safe, legal and tidy. If this idea proved to be a winner any extra money raised could be donated to a retro-rides nominated charity. How about 100 tickets at £10.00? or 200 at a fiver? I'm just thinking of ideas at the momment, any other ideas would be appreciated.
