My pride and joy is up for sale as I'm looking at buying a new project. Namely a Toyota Corolla AE86. I am willing to px this car towards a nice one.
I know this isnt the oldest of cars but it is pre 2000!
I bought this car a few months ago as a project, it had started to be stripped for parts but not much had been sold.
Its in very good condition and drives superbly. The bodywork is very good, the only blemishes are the door (pictured), a few stonechips (un-avoidable these days) and there is a few cracks on the under side of the side skirts from where it has caught on a jack/ramp. Otherwise, it polishes up very well. (It hasnt been cleaned in the pictures as I wanted to get some before the sun went down and before it rains again!)
Mechanically the car is perfectly reliable and pulls extremely well. I only really use the car to go from Cornwall to South Wales most weekends, and it does 500+ miles without any complaints and returns around 30mpg mixed driving. The car has no issues mechanically as you would expect from VW.
Its currently on 113,000 miles which is well below average. Although mileage really isnt an issue with these cars.
The gearbox was rebuilt a couple of thousand miles ago (prior to my ownership) and selects all gears perfectly.
Prior to the MOT, it had fresh discs and pads all round.
It also had a brand new windscreen before the MOT.
It has the desirable Recaro interior which is in excellent condition and is showing no signs of wear even on the drivers side.
It doesnt have any stupid speakers in it as the standard ones are brilliant. It does however, have sub cable running from the battery to the boot if thats your type of thing.
It has a Sterling alarm and immobilser system with remote central locking.
It has a few nice modifications which set it apart nicely.
Exterior:-
All plastics colour coded.
Badges painted black and rear GOLF GTI badges removed.
Roof has been wrapped black and spoiler black rear spoiler.
Front splitter (I believe it is a Votex one).
Tinted rear windows.
Wind deflectors.
Performance:-
FORGE Motorsport front mount intercooler kit. This cost me £700 a has only been on the car since just before the MOT. I have the receipt for it as well.
Carbon induction kit.
Stainless steel exhaust from turbo back with decat. Has the lambda sensor so doesnt cause any running issues.
Baileys dump valve.
ECU has been remapped with the other engine modifications.
Adjustable coilover suspension.
I havent had the chance to dyno the car since I have had it but from looking at other cars with similar (if not lesser modifications) I imagine it is running around 200bhp. The car has all the supporting parts needed for more power if you want to upgrade the turbo etc.
It has a few minor issues which I will be sorting before sale. It
needs a scuttle, a new cable for the door handle, and new switches for the electric windows (electric windows still work off the key, so there is no issue there).
The wheels have a slight bit of curbing, but I may change these to a set of Audi 5 spokes in better condition.
As stated in the title, it has 11 months MOT and 5 months tax.
I am currently trying to sell one of my other cars, and I have had nothing but timewasters. I am open to sensible offers, so if you are genuinely interested in the car, please call me, come and view the car, and THEN make an offer. Please don't text me saying you'll give me £1000 for it, because it wont happen. Sorry to sound like a a$$hole but after spending so much time replying to dreamers it can get tiresome.
I can be contacted on 07534 530076 at reasonable hours.
Thanks for looking, and no stupid questions please.
