Better known for shoe-horning Yank V8 oil burners into range/land rovers. 6.5 and 6.2 conversions pop up on ebay fairly regularly. ;-)

Thats what I am afraid of. :-( Apparently they done some quality work. I was hoping someone from the locality might be on here and could tell me if they had moved/died/closed/emmigrated or whatever.
Cheers.

Havent heard anything of them for a long time. I had presumed they had either packed in or changed names/businesses etc.
Was there anything in particular you were after

I was going to buy an older (85?) hilux for work and wanted to put in a big diesel. I know from ebay that they used to be able to hook up the transferbox and gearbox etc.

That's fairly local to me, and I might be seeing somebody tonight that might now something about them. If I see him I'll have a word... Ahem. That's a pretty fine collection of 'mights', 'maybes' and 'ifs' there

Of course it would, but then it wouldnt have a V8 with house pulling torque.
Edited 3 times in an attempt not to insult the prevous poster.

Fair enough. I have seen plenty of the V8 diesels in range rovers but have never rated them that high. Very relaxed and torquey but unless you are using it as a tractor I don't really see the advantage over using it over a Toyota lump. And if you using it for towing the hi lux has a fairly low braked towing weight limit.
Back axle might struggle depending on how it gets used. I know land rover 110 axles can get easily get mullered by that engine
Probably cheaper to buy a GM diesel than a 2ndhand toyota engine though.

I believe they went bust just like Sureflow Engineering and Japkar did before them. Not enough of a hole in the market in this neck of the woods and the local councils and landlords charge too much rent and rates, so fresh small businesses struggle to keep afloat.

So if thats accurate and well informed this forum is going the way of the other elitest(sp?) forums. I think I'd rather be lurking than used for a punch bag for some of you people.
