Hi folks
I'm looking to make my own engine mount for my Mk1 Cortina, as the stainless steel exhaust manifold I bought for it fouls the standard engine mount.
So the plan was to use a polyurethane leaf spring bush as the rubbery bit of the engine mount and fabricate some bracketry to suit. So far so good.
So I measure the external diameter of the bush at 47.4mm, hoping to find some standard steel tube to make a sleave from. However, it would appear that it is not a standard size (or anywhere close).
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it possible to make a tube by rolling up a flat sheet? I have a vice and a hammer!
All help would be appreciated.
cheers
