I've just won the bidding on a C5 HDi on evilbay which will be a damn sight more economical than my petrol - VTEC yo - CRV. So, SWMBO is getting the CRV and this needs to make way for the C5.
I've dug out all the paperwork and it's done 1200 miles since we MOT'd it in October last year! There's loads of old MOTs, receipts and there are 10 stamps in the service book, including the Cambelt at 59k.
I think it's a great car but there are a few issues;
Paintwork leaves a lot to be desired. There's a receipt from '05 for the main culprit - a touch-up pen!
There have been some starting issues which I couldn't replicate for a long while but SWMBO was suffering with every time she used it. I've recently put a new Coolant Temperature Sensor in which has hopefully solved it but, in all honesty, I've not had the chance to use it to find out.
Sometimes the rain sensitive wipers go a bit mad.
Advisories on the current MOT cert are the numberplates (front one cracked and rear one faded but they're the originals), minor leak on centre exhaust and one rear belt not tested as I left littlest 2fster's seat ISOFIXd in. ::-)
That's about it.
In short, it's no looker but it goes, stops and steers perfectly well, has some MOT left and a load of tax so is ready to go.
More pics to follow tomorrow. My fruity phone with the curse word battery life died after one pic!
Cheers,
Adam.
