Good Afternoon Guys & Girls,
I'm after some help please to find someone that can make me some old 70's style - raised letter number plates - White lettering on black backing.
I don't want pressed metal ones.
Thank you all :-)

I got mine from Framptons, including the rear plate which is a custom size to fit the boot mount. Not cheap, but I've found the quality and service is good.

These ones were £40 delivered from vintage-plates.co.uk I did have some others on another car which were closer to £30, but I can't for the life of me remember where they came from! Joe

how much is not cheap? and alternatively, does anyone know of anyone doing serck ones? About £70 so last I heard! Gennie Serck ones are the holy grail. I used chestnut-registrations.co.uk/ to get plates done before and was happy with their product and service. Was a while ago though

Is there anywhere that just selling the raised letters themselves so you can make up your own plate? Neighbour has a Lotus Elan +2. The car had overheating problems and it turned out to be the number plate blocking the airflow. Seems they were designed to have black grill with just the number attached. He changed to that option and cooling problem went away. What I'm saying is just the numbers / letters are available and Lotus owners / part suppliers will be able to point you in the right direction if you can't find them anywhere else. Paul h

Paul h I approached my local independent Lotus specialists and despite them knowing me for over 20 years they wouldn't sell me a single letter without the relevant documents.
