After a 3week wait due to bad weather on the date originally planned, I wasn't sure what to expect yesterday.
It was slightly less rammed than usual, but the quality of the cars on show, and the spread of interest really makes it a show I look forward to every year.
So it started, like alot of my recent stories, here:
Morrisoxide and his freshly lowered and de-roofracked traveller
We had a bimble through the town down to the park, parked up and spent a bit of time chatting and drinking tea before I started taking pictures
Mk2 Escort Linnet
Stunning Skylark that I've papped before
Ive seen this rocking around town
Gorgeous little ADO16
For sale on here I do believe
UR Quattro
Bucktooth
Barchetta
Cutesy little Austin
Some awesome CF's on disply, firstly, this ambulance
Ghastly yet very well finished and detailed (although hopefully tongue-in-cheek) Silverado
Some beautiful old commercials
This old Mack was stunning, really though...
Some very stylish old coaches too
Irony?
This '34 is the one that lost a wheel at Leeds a couple of months ago due to a failed shaft. Serious moment.
Not in the show as such. Nice though, and worthy of a pic...
Making mine seem cheap was this £2k GTi. It was bloody spotless though
Ive been taking pics of this Dodge for years, at shows all over Yorkshire. Still love it, and the fact the only restoration work its had is having the seat recovered...
Bullnose Morris Cowley
My MOT testers Mustang
Morris Oxford SeriesIV Traveller
Flying A
Breathtaking Consul Capri GT, one of 20left? Either way, it was like brand spanking new.
Gorgeous colour
*Minty Mustang
Real deal RS200
Caddy Seville caught my eye
Delicious Dolly
We saw this arrive, and were all convinced that it was a fake, I mean, nobody paints a real 355 like that, do they.....?
Apparently they do.
The rabble. Mr Hirst, Mr Oxide and Mr WAT
without a cause?
Huge Bentley made the Yank tin seem diminutive
Alfa was pretty
as was this Amazon
Staid styling, but still imposing.
Cresta was a straight old bus
Another ADO16, this time a VDP
Not my cup of tea, but I know Jon liked the look of this
I'm not even sure what this is, but I heard more that one person refer to it as Noddys car....
Spotless Acclaim, was just that. Spotless.
My friends CF camper, that I didn't even realise she had. Proper cool.
BT liveried HA van
HubbaHubba
1600i is another local face
CF and mk2 don't look to have earned their keep for a number of years
This genuinely sounded like a Beetle.
This pair were mindmeltingly mint. I not sure how they've survived as such...
GMC shows that a CF will never cut is as a base for a replica
Sit up and beg
I was trying to grab a shot of this Mk2 all afternoon, I only managed this as it went to leave...
possibly the most Yorkshire sunstrip I've ever seen
Eclectic
Hmm, this looks familiar
2nd Gen Prelude is a local daily driver....
Last year there was one harlequin 944, this past year they've obviously been breeding
T25 pickup was nicely turned out
JON_WAT's 460.
James, we must get your cars together for some pictures...
My warhorse
Sweet mk2's
I didn't even realise this picture had been taken until I was sifting through my pics...
and home again
Great to see the many familiar faces, I do love this show and long may it continue. lets just hope i've got something more interesting for next year.
