picked this up last night from this very forum. plans are a budget track day toy. Start by stripping most of this followed my most of this Got a set of reclining buckets in my loft, theres a pair of harnesses at the shop. a few little tweeks to the engine and a damn good service. Go right over all the suspension with a fine toothed comb. Inspect and replace any iffy looking brake lines (possible run them internal) better brakes and hit a few brandshatch days. And if i can find a supplier of cds or suitable tube at a reasonable price, custom make a rollcage. Going to stay black, but sort a few of the minor rust issues and sticker it up blue and white.

its a bit tatty, but its black so its easy to freshen up and once the stickers are all over it, it should look better.

Can't wait to get cracking on stripping this out and having some fun!
Really nice car to drive, and heel-toeing is quite easy in it as well (or at least it is for me with my small feet lol). Will make a great track day toy for sure.

stuck a filter on it yesterday as i got one for free off a mate changed the plugs and order a cap and rotor which i should have monday rattled the guts out of the smelly cat and advanced the timing to 15deg. Got to drop the sump and see if i stand any chance of welding up the pin hole in it.

These are really capable cars when they're stripped out. My mate used to have one, only thing that would give my Clio abrun for its money on the roads round here.

I had one of these .... brought as a stop gap car after selling my 200sx... liked it so much i kept it for 2.5 years! Did 55k miles in it and it never skipped a beat.... just new pads, new battery and new oil every 5k. Mine had a pipercross induction kit, decat and a janspeed exhaust. Went really well for what it was, and didn;t matter how much i thrashed it, it always gave more than 30mpg! Very underrated car and should make a good track day vehicle!

We had a primera egt a few years ago, and that was great on fuel all the time and I never take it easy.

had a bit more of a pay in the week. New sump fitted. Harnesses in. Battery moved to the boot and induction kit modified a little. Still need to do a bit more work to pull the filter closer to the wing, box it off a bit and lose the fog light in favour of a cold air feed. Oh, and the aircon has gone too!

Nice little project, can't help but notice the harness mounts do not look ideal I.e. to low and you may get questioned about them on trackdays if thats what your planning. This is what FIA regs state in order for them to be safe,

There not permanent mounts, just chucked in until change the seats and make up the cage.
