Retro'd Nissan S12's & S13's? Interested to know what they're like decked over some wide as hell, small wheels... Seen as though they're cheap, I'm getting plans. Thanks, Ry.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

it was a shame we did what we did to it, and i think he regretted it after it, but the car was registered as scrap so he wasnt enjoying driving it anymore, he made money off breaking it and is now building a similar styled skyline.
and i am left with the aftermath of our dismantling;)

Lol, what remains are left? It was a legend of a car, much like the infamous 'nato' which then became matt black and ghey. =[ Nato 2? Me thinky yes.

haha I cut the arch out of the black s13 to repair the nato one after it got smacked.
erm well whats left is.. I have the roof panel with a bit of rear pillars attached, and there is the front chassis legs sitting about at mine somewhere.
ant has the side exit exhaust
i have the wheels off the back of the car
and thats it. the final bath tub bit that was left of the bodyshell got lifted into a skip. and all that was, was the front bulkhead and a bit of floorpan.
we annhialated it with the old gas axe.

The search for a cheapass S13 continues...
Does anyone know if the DET engine came in the S12, rather than the ET engine?

Ca18et only I'm afraid but i think the 16v head will fit the 8v block or just swap the det in there ;D

Ca18et only I'm afraid but I think the 16v head will fit the 8v block or just swap the det in there ;D Yes and no. The head will bolt to the block but the DOHC timing belt lower gear won't fit the SOHC crank and I'm not sure if the valves will clear the SOHC pistons as they don't have the valve reliefs for a 16 valve layout. The SOHC conrods are much more feeble than the DOHC too so not worth the effort. A DOHC will bolt straight in and is an easy swap although the wiring is a little hard as the ECCS on S12 and S13 is completely different. My old CA18DET powered S12... It had an FMIC, bigger throttle body, T25G turbo off a 180SX (SR20), plugs, filter and exhaust and it was pretty quick. Clocked it with a GPS once and yes that is MPH. Private road of course ;D...

Nice!! Anyone ever SR'd one? More than likely in Japland, but I've not heard of one over here... Ry. No but I'd wager the wiring would be easier than on a CA swap. I doubt wether an SR would be a straight bolt in as to install a CA18DET you need to use the S12 mounts. In an S13, an SR is a straight swap for a CA so logically that cannot be the case with an S12. The gearbox would bolt up though so it'd only be a matter of minor mods to the mounts. I don't know if an SR would clear the underside of the bonnet on an early S12 either. Later ones had a bulge in the bonnet or you could try to get a 2.0l bonnet like I did.
