Just thought this might be of some interest to you guys, seeing as we like all things strange and a little bit different so check this www.bebo.com/FlashBox.jsp?FlashBoxId=2113530597an e34 drift car ...not that strange you might think but check this spec list  body 520i non sunroom very rare engine from 750i bmw (thanks to zoom motor sport) turbo transit clutch (Van) 3.3 nissan patrol gearbox (4X4) live axle from toyota hiace (van) rear mounted rad weight 1280kg at first but getting lighter this video was done on 11 cylinders since then has gone down to 10 turned out tappets are pumping up solid tappets being made at the moment sitting at home also is a vortech supercharger for the car will be going on over winter hope to run 450 to 500 horspower the engine was one that my friend actually saved from being thrown away and then his employer kindly donated it to walton(the guy who owns, built and drives the e34) hes a 20year old dude so despite this car looking a little bit ropey in the video its actually pretty impressive, car looks much better painted now. |

great noise, definalty worth waiting for, getting a strong urge for a bmw right now.
bit of a hijack but...
just how difficult is drifting??? obviously to get very good at it takes time and talent bu how long would it take just to get a decent drift going?? an afternoon, a whole day. a week.

You'd pick it up quite quickly I think. I've done karting where you can hang the back end out and it's great fun. I'm quite tempted to get into the tramp drifting thing next year - just wish I hadn't already got so many commitments!

that does actually sound rather nice for a bmw v12, they normally sound awful! still don't like 'em tho  nice throttle bodies! one way to get rid of the fly-by-wire I 'spose. what injection set-up does it run? |

Fantastic! I'm quite tempted to by having a go at this Tramp Drifting.....Range Rover might not exactly be ideal......lol

walton runs to 325 ecu's thats all i know about the injection.
drifting is easy to get into, cheap rwd car...thats it. its easy to learn the basics like any sport, but then just like anything else gets difficult to master. the better you get the more you want to push yourself to go further. its just like any other motorsport really.
trampdrifting is a bit of a farce really, they have a reputation for just curse word up cars pretty unneccesarily tbh, its much better tojust not give it any stupid name and buy any rwd car and learn to drive it properely, nothing quite like steering a car with the right foot.
