Hi guys, Because of all the rain we've had recently, that means the rain for the rest of the year is nearly gone and we'll only have sun. So I took the fibreglass cube part off the back of the pickup I have a proper Felicia pickup tailgate for it and am in the process of fitting it, but I've come across a problem. I can see where the tailgate bolts to the rear of the van under the bumper, but I can't get anything even close to undoing the nuts holding the bumper on. Am I missing something? Thanks guys

Mine was a converted van and I'm pretty sure that the hinges go under the bumper. Getting the bumper off though is a bit beyond me as i never needed to remove it. Sorry!

Sorry, re-reading the post I forgot to say. I undid the bolts where the tailgate bolts on with a spanner but there is no access at all when the tailgate is in place, so the only way to do it is remove the bumper. But I can't figure out how to. Plan B is sell the tailgate and buy a bully net lol.

Bully net would look ace. OR, go to scrap yard, get loads of seat belts out of crashed cars (unsaleable belts basically) and make one Saxo's and metro's have funky colored belts in some models The tailgate should fetch strong money on ebay, but I can't see the bumper being that hard to remove? The front one is only held on with about 4 13MM bolts..

Seatbelt idea is ace Rich. I think I've got some red Cinq Sporting ones kicking round. Those and some standard black ones interlaced is what I'm now thinking.
Don't have any way of fastening them together though. Unless I rivvet them. Or cable ties. Lol.
I did read another thread on Briskoda about removing the rear side panels on the inside and undoing the bumper that way.

There are a couple of bolts hidden behind the access panels in the rear of the tub

It is indeed your old one I found your for sale thread while searching for felicia's. Fogs are still not wired up As a bit of an update for this, the tailgate is now in place Although, not bolted up fully. I needed it to be on the road for the rest of the week. It's securely held on with the shuts and brackets. Looks ace ;D Only problem is it needs BBS's and lowering. A lot!
