for somereason I'm drawn to BMW tourings, ive seen the following car on ebay and ive got a few qoutes for it and theyve come back at a decent price. just wondering what they're like on pertol, what wheel choices are they're out there, how easy/cheap to lower. i think parts would be expensive so what goes wrong with em?? ive posted the link to the ebay advert ive been looking at just incase u want a look see RESERVE_W0QQitemZ140054880098QQihZ004QQcategoryZ9837QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohostingoh and any pics u may have of modded ones would be great, saw one on tuningmania on men and motors that was used for a drift car, looked ace.

This is what I wanted to ask but felt like i'd taxed the board too much already! Looking towards one too after 'asking the audience'. Sounds like they are decent. Tourings apparently weigh 90kg more than saloons, 325's are thirsty, 318's offer 118 or summat BHP, do tourings come in 318is flavour? one bloke online said that his 318is saloon is like a less powerful M3! what about 320's are they the duff card? www.bmworg.ru/img/cars/e30_touring_056_1.jpgdualfun.emdia.fi/touring/night/images/DSC08150.jpgooof again! So whats the going rate for a nice one, and how many miles would it of done?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Nope. No 318iS wagon was made.
So if it's speed you want you'll have to get a 2.5. And shares in BP to go with it.
320 is too thirsty given it's performance, and the 318i be OK, but again a bit sluggish.
Did they do a 316 version? That would be grim motoring if they did.

Nice one Pog, great info. 318 it would be then. that extra weight and 11?bhp, I wouldn't expect it to be much more spritely than my CVH Sapph then. How come the 318is is so powerful? Whats the best flavour in E36 then anyone know, or are they not as good. they look quite smart.

318Is is powerful as its 16v and has 136bhp instead of the 318i which is 8v and has abot 105bhp. E36 in my opinion is nowhere as near as good in my opinion as its bloody heavy in comparison and don't look as good. Not as fun to drive either and the e36 318Is is abou a second slower 0-60 than the e30 318Is Heres a guy I speak to's tourer. its got a 3.2 evo engine. 320bhp or summat. Been in it and its hellova fast!

Hehe, it was a 325 with a blown head so he has got the 3.2 engine out of the e36 m3 and dumped it in along with full m3 suspension etc etc. Lovely motor. Unbelievably fast! Smashes you back in the seat!

Cool. I really like those. Bloke from the corner shop has lwb 728i.... every toy imaginable! LWB won't fit in the garage - looked at a 5.4 V12 version but that was LWB so had to be SWB and only 4.4 so it's gonna be a bit of a slug See you at the next beds/herts etc etc meeting

so are 318i not really worth entertaining??? I'm not too bothered about the speed of it for now, just fancy a chance form the mini and something that i don't have to worry about as much would be nice
