	Has anyone fitted a power steering rack to a mk1 Cortina ? I was just thinking about this today as my st170 engine already has a PAS pump fitted ,Anyone know if the focus ST rack is of usable size width wise for this conversion? I know it would need the crossmember modified to fit ,I also have 2 crossmembers ,anythings possible right? Does anyone have measurements to hand of said rack ? Or has anyone tried it?

	Steve Taylor performance conversions has done it i'm pretty sure, he's fitted all sorts into cortinas maybe worth a try? 07931426815 Steve Taylor

	In a word, No the focus rack is no good fro the Rack conversion, the TCas on a cortina are relatively close together, and the steering rack knuckles are quite wide apart, this would lead to awful bump steer, TBH the best way to go would be spend money, but a Escort rack conversion kit, then use a corsa electric PAS motor and after-market speed controller,
	Atmo V8 Power . No slicks , No gas + No bits missing . Doing it in style. Austin A35van, very different------- but still doing it in style, going to be a funmoble

	No I don't fancy that electric thing ,Only real reason was I have the pas pump already fitted so was just thinking to kill 2 birds ,Use the pump instead of bodging the aux belt tensioners etc and mod a focus rack ,I'm still researching
