I started a part work build a dolls house, made a few of the bits of furniture and then got bored. Still have some of the bits in the loft.
A good start is to get the Hobby's catalogue.
My great Uncle built on with running water, electricity and miniature hand painted paintings.

Rian,
A dolls house is definatly on the list for Alice (my little girl that you built the poc poc's for), shes 3 and a half now so could really get into something like that!
I'm up for the project if no one else has contacted you about it yet. Do you have any more details on it?
Thanks
Colin.

I seem to have a lot of pre-cut furniture bits, a few made up, but no instructions... This was from a part-work project.

I cheated. I was going to build one for my neice Isabelle, but my uncle found this in a charity shop for a fiver. As basic as they come with various bits of damage. Afew months later it looked like this Note the tiles. Individualy laid and made out of 2-3mm thick card and all shaped by hand to look like real slate tiles. Took flipping ages to do but was well worth it. The roof turns round so the loft can also be used. In the box thats in the roof there............... ....... is-a-bell.... (mwa-ha-ha.... ) I enjoyed doing this FAR more than I expected, its a minature world thats very easy to get sucked into. She ended up getting this last Christmas. The big-money presents didnt even get a look-in ;D Next on the list is a Garage to match.

Rian, A dolls house is definatly on the list for Alice (my little girl that you built the poc poc's for), shes 3 and a half now so could really get into something like that! I'm up for the project if no one else has contacted you about it yet. Do you have any more details on it? Thanks Colin. Hi Colin, Tried to call you, but I guess you are a bit busy with young Alice..... ;D For those who forgot about it, heres Alice feeding one of the Poc Poc's a drink (with sound effects) Colin, below are a few pics. The story of the Dolls house is that I was given it by a guy I bought my old skool drillpress from for Nicola's dad to build as he had built a couple before for mum and the grand daughters. However, as these things go and with mum getting unwell, he has never started. The guy who gave it to us had built it to the point you see in the pics. I brought it home in the back of a VW Touran when I had that. There is also a large box of bits like thatch, wallpaper and specialised wood strips etc. We have never actually unpacked it after bringing it to dads. Mum has been in hospital twice the last three weeks and he have had to make a new bedroom for her in the dining room etc (don't even start asking) as her mobility is now down to about 10% HERE IS THE MAIN RULE. We need the house and box of materials collected sooner than later or else it is onto Freecycle or the tip as last resortWe have been told mum is being discharged tomorrow. I can bring the lot home to our place for a week or two but no more. If these logistics seem to suit you let me know and we can speak about collection etc. I do not have a pic of the Box but it has to be about 24x18x18 inches. The house has to be 3x2x2.5 foot if not a bit more. I am not sure if the plans below do go with the house or not, the old guy had built some stunners and may have chosen to modify the build as he went along. He was an engineer and craftsman. Plans that are in the box may not be what is built...... SO THERE YOU GO.......Let me know what you think. I will also PM you.

Wow, now that is something else! Unfortunatly its far to big for our needs - would have no where to put it Theres also no chance of collection as your quite a drive away (I was originaly thinking courier but that is a monster) Thanks for the offer Rian and I hope it goes to someone that will give it the love and attention it deserves Thanks Colin
