I currently have a 1G-GTE 2.0L Six Pot Twin Turbo 264bhp, Manual Gearbox & all the bits sat on my drive, out of my Soarer D1 car. I'm looking for something to stick it all in, ideally some sort of sleeper/mad Toyota something or another, has anybody got anything intersting? Old Skool Hi-Ace van, Cressida, DX that type of thing, I've spotted a couple of candidates on Ebay Alternatively I might sell the lot complete to someone with a mad project. Some pics

What sort of fund transaction would be required to obtain this combo?

I am also interested but would need some measurements on how big it is as my 1000 has a small engine bay but most things can be made to fit!

Hi guys
The engine itself is 700mm long gearbox face to front pulley wheel, so not THAT big. Quite compact really.
Ideally I'm after £500 for the engine, loom, ecu etc complete less downpipe, gearbox optional but around £750 all included though open to offers. Can deliver too if it helps. I'm N-Dorset Wilts direction.

I would dearly love that set up, and I'm confident I have the room in my engine bay...it's just not the right time unfortunately.

That engine could tear my Sprinter apart... might have to settle for a 4/5K (one day maybe).

The 1G is such an underrated engine IMO as well, not too many people got to any length to modify them.... I reckon one with a sizeable single turbo setup on it would be quite a nice little powerplant. Sound great as well!

Stick it in a Celica Supra. Ideally, you could get the crossmember from a JDM car that came with a 1G because then it'd bolt in easy.
The 1G is a neat little motor, but since JZs are plentiful and cheap, with better parts support, the 1G gets overlooked. They work best in the older, lighter Toyotas. Stick it in a TE72 or something and have a ball.

Engine is now sold to a chap fitting it in an old skool celica. I have a subframe for a 1G if anybody wants one?
