Clutch residue?

	Chaps If a clutch has been slipping straight from the first drive and therefore removed.. (Previous clutch did not slip/new clutch does not slip(Replaced originally as required new flywheel)) It has a black 'oily' residue on one side of the clutch / crank shaft side. Mechanic says the shaft seals were good and that the oily residue is melted clutch plate? Is that feesible? I'm fighting the manufacturer for warranty/refund Cheers

	New or S/H flywheel ? clutches tend to glaze over if slipped a lot like brake pads, well they do untill the overheat then they just explode into a load of dust as the binding glue evaporates. Only time i've had any oily substance is from a leak or a new F/W when the fitter forgot to remove the transport oil on it.

	new flywheel.. mechanic says cleaner was used on all parts first..?
