hey guys... heres something for ya... not too taxing...
i have an old 70s fm stereo in my car which clicks in time with the engine... I'm reliably informed that i need to fit a suppressor... ok no problem.
i go to my local motorsave... the conversation went a bit like this...
"id like a car audio noise suppressor please"
"no probs mate, they're ere... £1.58, please"
"thank you... now i notice there isnt a diagram on the packaging... where should i mount this & what does this wire do?..."
"erm... ill get one of the guys from the workshop"
"ok"
"no idea mate... is there a picture on the box?... oh... erm... ill get the boss"
"ok"
"well... you just run the live wire through it dontcha?..."
"there only one wire & what looks like a mounting bracket..."
"oh... in that case put it on your alternator... that wire probably earths or something"
"your friend said that it should be mounted on the live side..."
"well do that then... erm... if you come back tomorrow theyll be someone to help... do you want your money back?"
"no i just want to know where to put this wire"
so there you go.. a familiar story now that proper "motor factors" have all but gone...
so can you help... I'm sure its easy.
cheers
