been offered a 2.2 twincam out of a omega
will this fit directly onto the ZF box or will I need an adaptor plate made up.

would'nt be sorting a speedo feed from the prop/cv joints be easier than fabricating a bellhousing?

So you have 4 choices,
adapter plate,
omega gearbox with some means of driving a speedo, and possibly tunnel mods, as its a huge box,
carlton box, as huge as an omega, but has speedo drive,
Manta 1.8 gearbox, small has speedo drive, not as tough and fairly rare now.
