First off, excuse my lack of knowledge, just have a couple of questions i thought you lot might be able to answer for me.
I'm looking at fitting twin webers to a lightly tuned 1.4 8v polo engine (1996 -) not sure of the engine code, i understand the basic mechanics of it all, i'm just struggling with the manifold.
I understand there are vwm manifolds about, but i believe they only fit the 1.3 heads (MH, 3F etc) see below;
but then again as seen in this one, webers on a 1.6 aee head.
so its either, one of these items > www.dbilas-shop.com/Products/Inlet-manifold/Seat/Intake-manifold-for-VW-Polo-6N-Golf-Seat-Ibiza-Skoda-1-0-1-6-8V::1934.html
or custom (cheaper option)
so, are weber manifolds cast? can they be in effect cut and shut to a different bolt pattern flange? for a cheaper manifold, in the way bike carbs are knocked up (hope that makes sense)
cheers, rob.
